I was there for work in early January. Cool city.
We stayed near the US embassy at the Hotel Des Indes. In the evenings I'd walk over to the square outside Parilment (square of William Orange) and hang /drink on the patios under the heaters. Lots of young ppl out and about. Tons of gastropub type places. Easy city to walk around (may or may not have enjoyed the evening strolls with the locally rolled, legal "cigarettes")
Dinners: favorite place was an Italian restaurant called: Follia - burrata, prosciutto, oven fired pizzas, pastas. So fresh
Also the restaurant at the Des Indes had an incredible steak tartare
Went to another Italian place called : Giuliano , it was ok. Nothing special. Good wine list though.
Also I took advantage of being over there and stayed the weekend in Amsterdam and flew out Sunday.
I really enjoyed my time there.

That is the plan. After work, Amsterdam for a day or two, London for a day or two and then home. The Hague is the place where I need help on what to do, the others are easy

Wish I could tell you more about the city but I stayed around the hotel area and worked fairly long hours during the day. Plus was really cold outside in early Jan. I know there were a few museums close by that everyone was talking about that I never got around to checking out.
