Ok, I'll answer the OPs question. I'm not sure I see a player on LSU's team that will get drafted. Yes Blakeney may get a shot as a free agent. He can no doubt make some money in Europe and a a living in the D-League...DR has the most potential to make a NBA roster as he has only played BB for what....4/5 years tops and is raw. AR maybe an 11th/12th type guy in the NBA
They were good as a group on offense tonight, but the D was again horrendous. Remember the Pigs simply are not an elite team by any stretch.
Sometimes with the total lack of fundamentals, it really is difficult to determine the talent level. Sampson, Epps, and Patterson are not getting much better. Mayes and Sims are young and like the aforementioned three have a decent game now and then. With JO and the M@M boys, it was obvious they were at least top college players and Simmons was clearly going to the NBA as a starter.
Could most all SEC coaches have this team around .500 in the SEC and perhaps flirting with the Big Dance and be a lock for the NIT? I think they could.
Finally, I have a question? Sometimes I'm not around a TV and have to listen on radio thru LSU sports.net. In December, LSU had a color analyst along with Blair. The two games I've had to listen on the radio in January, it was just Blair by himself. Does Alleva and LSU care so little about the sport that they aren't paying for a analyst and the travel expenses for said person on road games and perhaps even at home?
