F. King makes $750,000 base salary as well. That's because the LSU Board is full of a bunch of POS's who could give a hoot about comparing results to salary.

Those "leveraging" negotiations should have gone something like this:
Alleva: Tennessee is interested in hiring me. Let's renegotiate my contract and I will stay here.
LSU: What are we paying you now?
Alleva: $750,000.
LSU: What will it take to get you to leave?
