40s-50s
Rural south.
If you were poor, most everybody was poor so no one cared.
Didn't have BS political correctness we have today. Great public schools and small town community pride.
No cell phones.
No social media
No hipsters
No black lives matter
No SJW
No homos
Just good God fearing people, minding their own business, living life.
Greatest generation they say.

This, more or less. I'm 44 now, so I'd probably go back to 1945, just after the Axis surrendered. America was entering into what was, in my opinion, it's greatest era. I'd grow old and be dead- or a nursing-home vegetable- by the time Clinton took office. Perfection.
