What did conservatives expect from doing the same to Obama? I imagine the intent is to capitalize on the split popular vote and other controversies to weaken his position politically.
Both parties in this country are all about winning and losing.

It wasn't about just his policies that Obama was opposed, it was his abuse of power and intentional division for political gain.
You can't really compare how Obama was treated to how Trump is being treated, all in the days PRIOR to inauguration! Seriously? Who called Obama an illegitimate president? Who called for his impeachment BEFORE he was sworn in? Hell, he was practically given the Nobel Peace Prize before he took a single action as president.

I could be wrong but I don't remember conservatives calling Oduma a clown from the first day he announced he was running for POTUS.
I know I didn't call him Oduma until after he was elected POTUS and I wouldn't have called him Oduma if the Bush haters hadn't started calling GWB "Dumbya" from day one of his presidency.
