I know there are a lot of conservatives on this board that are pretty serious about following the law - including misdemeanors such as crossing the U.S./Mexico border without stopping for inspection by US immigration agents.

This isn't generally a criminal infraction. Though it is a lot more detrimental to public safety than simply walking across a border without stopping to say hi.
