It's sad that so many people are mad about this since it means they find animal cruelty entertaining.

Folks have been being cruel to animals since we found out we could. If you and I don't like it then we shouldn't take part in it...which is exactly what has happened, in part, to the circus....enough people found it cruel and didn't go to make a difference....that and the fact that its been a long time since we all lived on farms waking up at the break of dawn and going to bed when the sun sets and if we didn't wake up with an erection we wouldn't have anything to play with all day long and neither would our sisters....there is simply too much competition for circus acts to compete with....

You're correct. A lot of live entertainment is finding it difficult to keep up.

Hell, I don't even enjoy going to some zoos because of the conditions. Like the circus, I have no doubt that the trainers and employees love and care for the animals. It's not about abuse, it's about not finding it pleasant to see elephants that look like they want to shoot themselves living in a .5 acre enclosure.
