Posted by GreatLakesTiger24 online on 1/10/17 at 2:26 pm to wildtigercat93 I'm surprised it is doing so poorly. The service isn't very good tho.
I've always had good experience with their bartenders. Friendly and know what they are doing. Never dealt with their regular servers before
When they first opened they had the hottest bartenders in the city. Talent has taken a dip
But it really should be packed. There's so many different things to do and they have great drink specials and events and stuff (probably because it's so dead in there usually). I guess it's a Parking/location issue.

They pulled people in from New Orleans to open it, and they also hired good looking employees who had never worked in the service industry before. Friend of mine worked there, and told us they did a $X beer buckets special one night and one of the female bartenders walked up to him with a bucket filled halfway with draft beer and asked, "So, am I supposed to serve this with a straw?"
They also went through GMs multiple times, they lost Nick Hufft who was the sole reason their food was good, and they started out extremely expensive. Even now, they don't offer anything that appeals to college students. The food is sit down style, so you're looking at $15+ after tip. And it isn't easy for college kids to underage drink in there.

Chimes is the only place in that area that attracts people from other parts of town. Barcadia could possibly do well out in the Overpass/College area where people with money to spend are.
