You will eventually say to yourself that you can allow yourself to have only 1 while you are drinking, and you will not go back to it. Know that this is a lie. It will snowball on you, and you will be back to starting over again.

There are no real tricks. You just have to blow past it and not allow yourself to have one. Eventually you will have broken the habit, and you won't think about it as much. Cravings will never go completely away though. I am about a year and a half since my last cigarette. I will still get mild cravings every once in a while especially if I am kicking it with friends and having a few beers. It is easier to blow past and stop think about now because I know that I really don't want one in truth, and it would make me feel like shite.
