Ehhh, I really don't think so. Donald Trump has hardly been a pious or godly candidate. I think it was more her calling most Donald Trump deplorables, saying that she deserves the office only because she's a woman, and basically her entire fanbase saying "frick white men" that cost her the election. This is probably the election that had the least to do with religion since the 1800s.

EDIT: On second thought, there was a religion that cost her the election. No it had nothing to do with Christianity, but Islam. They refused to acknowledge it as a problem, while Donald Trump directly responded to it. It was the left's views on Islam that won Trump the election. They just put their head in the sand, especially with what is going on in Europe, and had no answer for what happened, particularly with Nice when they couldn't blame guns at all for that.

Which was covered in the article and as the writer expounded, a bigger reason for Hillary to court the Christian vote.
