LSU and Bama were head and shoulders over everyone else in college football that year. Regardless, that shouldn't have happened IMO. However, they aren't the ones that got shut out either.

Personally I don't think Ohio State would have gone, but with the human element in the CFP committee wanting big name teams in there I can't say with certainty Ohio state would have been left out.
