Penn states 2 losses before the bowls weren't just bad but really bad. They lost 49-10 to Michigan which is just as humiliating as to what happened to Ohio State against Clemson. Ohio States one loss was on the road in a 3 point loss. Ohio State has more wins against ranked teams and a win against the big 12 champ. I find it absolutely baffling how anyone can logically think Penn State deserved to be in the playoffs over Ohio State.

But their conference championship was better than anything tOSU had done. I'm not a fan of the "best loss" camp. Penn State achieved more than tOSU.

Losing in September is not the same as being shutout when you had a month to prepare for one team in the biggest game of the season.
