He bought it a few days before Dec.25, so they could be trying to push out end of year sales to meet their numbers.
He bought it cash if it makes a difference. He told the salesman, "I'm buying this cash, whats the best deal you can give me". They gave him that offer and he took it.
I had always thought they like financing, so they can make more on interest.
