Today it is
There was a famous professor at UNM who preached this and was fired because of his ideas
If a factor changes and that is the power of Mexico then it might become a reality faster than many can see right now
At the core of Mexican insecurity is the Mexican War
Actually the way the US claimed Texas and California is being reversed
The thing is as someone who has family who originated from Michoacan Mexico plus Texas and California not to mention Colorado
I see myself first as a person of the Southwest
Not the US
I have nothing in common with people from New York or Massachusetts

The sad reality is nothing lasts forever. Not the current US as it is, not Russia, China, or any other nation as they exist today.
The US has been a drop in the bucket on the earths timeline compared to the height of the Roman Empire, or even the British Empire.
If you are at the breaking point I'm sure more will join the cause eventually (on both sides). Whether tomorrow, 100 years from now, or 500 years from now it will happen.
If you are ready to get started see what you can do I guess. Until then I wish you and every American nothing but the best and hope we can ride this as long as we can. Just remember it always ends bloody to a point, it's never sunshine and rainbows. The bloodshed happens because it means that much to both sides, but human nature is what it is. One day after both may end being happier where they end up
By bloodshed I don't necessarily mean world war or major conflict. Could be something more simple like what happened with the Soviet collapse/split with skirmishes between Russia and Baltic states along with competing international influence on the different governments. There will be violence though on some level as both sides compete for influence and resources
