High school championship. Under armor game. Army all American game

If it's ok for draft eligible players to skip championship games or bowl games etc. why should high players who have committed to universities, no matter the sport, play in championship games or select games. I'm sure some would say well they are not competing for millions of dollars but in a way they could be. What if playing in these games they get an injury that ends their chances of even playing college ball. Just curious.

Just to add to my post. The high school kids are usually more loyal to their school and want to represent the uniform they wear

Because they want to. Same reason most players are playing in their bowl games, because they want to. If they wanted to sit out nobody would bat an eye.

Fame on any level is a hell of a lure.
To a teenager it can be irresistible.
A professional contract and all that comes with it is likely more of an abstract concept to highschool players.
Collegiate Juniors and Seniors have a more concrete grasp on their immediate future.
Just a thought.

Just say if a student has already committed to a university then plays in the playoffs or championship game and gets neck or head injury that ends his playing career

Because they could still get an education and a job after college.
The university doesn't owe them anything. Some schools will still honor a scholarship though.
The reason it's okay for someone to skip a meaningless bowl game is because they have been graded and are expected to make money and use football as a career.

So will we start seeing high school athletes skip out on these games to avoid risking their chances to play a college sport

The all star games? You know there are plenty that turn it down. They just fill it with kids who want to play.
