Israel itself still considers the West Bank disputed territory, which is the very basis for its claims that the settlements are legal. So much for giving them land.

And this has nothing to do with lands in the Palestinian territory. Until the Israeli's recognize that the right of Palestinians who lived in Israel prior to 1948 to return to lands that were stolen from them, there will be no peace. Giving them occupied or semi-occupied lands in walled spaces a hundred miles from their native home is no better than our Trail of Tears, which I'd think all would agree was a travesty.
