Because it's about the support the team gets in a city and it has nothing to do with how many players are on a team.

You could put 53 basketball players on the Lakers and it's not going to change the support the team gets.

I guess the leagues figured out that roughly 30 teams is the sweet spot. Doesn't matter how many players are on a team.

We just settled the debate... Revenue. (Like everything, its business... obviously)

Numbers:
NBA - ~$5.7B

NFL - ~$14.4B

I guess never mind.

it matters a lot if you need one more year to get the 5 years in for a retirement.
they are going up from 15 to 17 roster spots.

about 25% of the public is into basketball.

what is it for NFL? 40%? 50%?

NHL is probably under 15% in the USA and 85% in Canada, eh?
