Nobody should ever have any legal property of theirs taken away by the government period.

Seize illegal property sure, but committing (or even worse simply being accused of) a crime does not mean you forfeit legal property.

The cops do not have to accuse you of anything if cash is involved. If you have a large amount of cash, >$3000, they just take it and it is hell to get it back. People who have won money at casinos have had it stolen by law enforcement thieves because of civil forfeiture laws. frick that shite.
