I don't really listen too enough to do a comprehensive top 5, but that Danny Brown album is really good. I'm never heard a hip hop album quite like it.

Can I put Illmatic on the list?!?

Does Frank Ocean count as hip hop? Had this discussion with some friends the other day. I'm ok with it either way
But, if it is, then he's #1
Frank Ocean
Chance
Noname
Tribe Called Quest
Ye
Kendrick
Anderson .Paak
I couldn't pick just 5 lol
*edited for spelling

Its shite and will continue to be over-saturated shite.

Finally listened to that Ab Soul. Damn. I loved his last one, and I probably like his persona (weird psychedelic intellectual) more than anyone else in Black Hippy but this album is a really nice complete piece of art. It seems to be him coming into maturity. Like the GKMC follow up to Section 80. Will have to listen more, but it may move to top of my list over Chance and Schoolboy.
