Height doesn't always mean arm length and some people at 5'10 have the same arm length as someone that's 6'3 never know but I agree you need to have arm length, to keep them away. Height does give you leverage and can make you seem stronger then you are. You just have a better shot at the 6'3 and up DLman having all the tools needed to be great and develop. That's not to say there isn't shorter guys that can play but it's not likely then you have frame and weight issues as well. A guy 6'3 can put on weight and carry it not so much for the shorter ones. You can get great DEs and Linebackers out of 5'10 5'11 though. It can happen so I say go to camps and prove ya self in front of the coaches if you think you can dominate as a shorter player. Never know

Big James is good but he's generously 5'9. While he is incredibly strong I wouldn't call him quick at the p5 level which you have to be at 5'9. He will have a list of offers don't worry. They just might not be to teams that play in front of 100k
