More players staying than transferring or leaving early, do they know something?

LSU now has the cream of the crop among talented college football coaching assistants, and Coach Orgeron has LSU players and coaches loving his concept of faster but shorter practices and competing as a team. Its as close a team as any LSU has ever had.

With more LSU players willing to stay than normal instead of transferring or leaving early, they obviously know something. Could 2017 be special? They think so!

I like the optimism but we've heard this before...so my cynicism will ultimately shine thru until we see some definitive proof on the field.

I want to believe 2017 will be special but that schedule is brutal. It will take a 2011 effort to make the playoffs.

Talent couldn't overcome a weak offensive coaching philosophy in 2016, in 2017 it doesn't have to. LSU will have a diverse offense and one that players can learn.

Lets be honest. The only player that boosted his draft stock was Riley and Chark.

Dupre HAS TO return or pray for a combine showout.

If for nothing else, it'll at least be different for the first time in 12 years.

Why ...because I just watched a loaded team shite the bed this past season and fail to beat Bama again while scoring zilch and then repeating the nightmare again against UF with the sugar bowl on the line.

WE have a brand new coaching staff essentially and a different team heading into next year....i dont see how anybody can be brimming with confidence just yet.

Let's not be stupid here. The players who left before this season were not getting much field time because of Miles run oriented game. Heck, even the WR starters weren't even getting many balls thrown at them.

Now leaving after this season, each player has their own story. Some just need a fresh start.

And the ones who leave for the NFL, well, that's to be expected.
