I find this one to be troubling. We looked at Helfrich, who would bring about a huge transition that could take 2-3 years to fully realize, but passed on a guy who runs a spread offense that would likely be easier to implement, is also available, and has solid Texas recruiting ties. I don't get that one.

The two constants I heard were Power Spread and Texas recruiting.
I like Gilbert a lot and believe he should receive an interview. Ill see if he was contacted.
