Obama was a senator. If you line up every President, his resume is right in the middle. Trump's is dead last.

You know there is no objective formula for that. It depends on what you value. IMO, real world experience > beltway experience.

On the other hand, this entire argument is intellectually dishonest. If the candidate favoring 2nd amendment rights, sane immigration, and policy that does not repel business were a lifelong politician, I would still be all in. If your progressive candidate had no political experience, you would still never consider the conservative guy based on that. C'mon.

your progressive candidate
Whoa. I don't do progressive. I vote Republican.

I'm 100% with you on this post. Moreso than for the person and even for the resume, I vote for the principles in which I believe. I'm conservative, and that's why I didn't vote for Trump. His economic plan is more liberal than what Bill Clinton's Presidency yielded; Trump's plan is a step and a half away from FDR. frick that, and frick the emotional connection this majority of this board has to him.

ETA: Trump isn't even strong on 2nd Amendment rights, which I view to be no less than sacred. Of course, I'm basing this on Trump's tweets, but hey, that's the material he gives us. Crowder and Shapiro agree with me on this matter FYI.
