Been watching this and its a great show.
Our oldest son has CP and they did a great job with this sitcom.
Hopefully it sticks around for awhile.

Yeah my oldest daughter has CP so it caught my wife's attention and it turned out to be an entertaining show. I've only watched a few episodes so far.

writers do a good job of bringing humor to alot of the challenges of having a handicap child.
On a side note, how old is your daughter?

Yeah it is nice to see a non gloom and doom portrayal. My girl is 6. She's more severely handicapped than the kid in the show but it's still relatable. How about your child?

Yes!! Morgans is awesome! We live in Katy so we go to Morgans at least once a year. They're adding a water park too I've heard.

Cool.
Like I said, my son is 16 and has severe spastic CP. We've been through BoTox treatments, hamstring lengthening surgery, Peg Tube surgery, Baclofen Pump surgery, numerous other surgeries and what not.
If you ever have any questions, we've been through it all. If you ever want another perspective or looking for advice feel free to contact me. ---->
Note: Will delete email address later.

Thank you. My girl was typical developing healthy child until she caught encephalitis at 18months. It left her with severe brain damage and seizures.
She has had Botox injections but her muscle tone has already caused scoliosis and some hip issues. We've been fortunate that she's required no surgeries yet other than her Gtube. But the back and muscle issues I guess are inevitable. Her seizures are finally under control but we follow the medical marijuana developments.
Have you looked into stem cell treatments? That's really the hope for us, is there'll be some breakthrough soon on that front. There are a few doctors doing it, mostly not in the US, but it all seems so...experimental.

We had complications during labor that caused the brain damage. We also deal with the scoliosis and hip issues.
What helped us the most with muscle tone was a Baclofen Pump. Went a long way to just helping him be comfortable.

Thankfully the oral baclofen has been sufficient so far, with heavy emphasis on PT and stretching. She's still small enough that I can swing her around and keep her limbs moving. Her tone actually is less now than when she was younger. Our biggest problems have been with seizures.
We moved to Houston solely for her medical care and we've been happy. She gets her care at Texas children's.
