How do average folks know when and where private sales occur? Do they sell these items strictly to business connections or do they allow people in the know to attend those sales?

Most of the good stuff sells privately before the public viewing too. Ex: Don't expect to go and find a Rolex for $50. They sell those out to connections prior to the events

All through previously established business connections and the public never gets a chance at them. Same thing with watches/jewelry that insurance companies get after claims.
