It's fairly normal for most of them to have an attitude. Many seem to think they are superior to everyone else because they are driving a car that is identifiable as a hybrid. It's a status symbol. If it wasn't, they'd be driving a Malibu hybrid, Fusion hybrid, or Camry hybrid that look like normal cars.
Volt and Leaf drivers are also not very pleasant.
The attitude is probably worse now that they are also dealing with Trump winning.
