I think you've seen a real reaction from some up and coming coaches that the SEC money is not worth the shorter potential career path for not winning it all within the first 3 years.

Easier roads to championships in other places, with a lot more appreciate and less of a hot seat if you lose less than 3 games.

I mean, if Herman can put together a couple of 10 win seasons in a row at Texas, he'll be seen as a hero at this point. At Lsu, we'd be asking why he's still losing 3 games a year.

That's a result of Texas being hot garbage. And being hot garbage for the better part of a decade. If Kelly were fired from Notre Dame, the next coach better be putting up top ten finishes.
