The CPC enjoys universal support among the Chinese people. Taiwan's government is not legitimate as it currently stands since it is not an independent country. Taiwan lacks recognition by the rest of the world and the UN. It is a province of China pretending to be an independent country. The KMT never intended for Taiwan to be an independent state. China has had two legitimate governments since the fall of the Manchu Dynasty. The Republic of China dominated by the KMT and the People's Republic of China run by the CPC.

The KMT is currently relegated to the Island of Taiwan and does have a history of the legitimate government of China. We need to let the Republic of China's remnants the KMT work with the PRC and the CPC in reunited the country.

Taiwan has no legitimate government since the Civil War between the KMT and CPC has not been officially ended like what we did for the US Civil War.
