That's obvious. Mao is quite possibly the most incompetent government official in world history. He literally starved over 50 million people because he was beholden to the ridiculous Lenin-Marxist command economic system which history has shown to be an abysmal failure. China was a third world country when Mao finally gifted the Chinese people with his death in 1976.

Once Xioping instituted market economic solutions, China became a powerhouse.
