80's blew the 90's away and its not close. The music alone kicks the 90's arse. Music took a step backward with the invention of Grunge.

That was just a few bands, and they were pretty good anyway. But "grunge" was far from the only kind of music that was being made then.

90's music was great, and leaps and bounds better than the almost 100% teeny-pop crap we have today. But, you can blame us (gen x) for that, since we invented file sharing and now the only shite that sees mass exposure is safe, formulaic pop music.

80's were better, though, all things considered. I agree with that.
