A foot attachment, on/off control, is very helpful. I think Cabelas makes them that will work on anything, there might be other options out there. Long ago I spent a summer in a meat market and learned a ton. Sausage making is not hard. You can use food grade mineral oil as a lubricant to help the casing flow better when you are filling. We used to keep it in a stray bottle.
