I've been through some hazmat response training for chlorine leaks. It's some bad shite.
Chlorine has an expansion ration of 450:1 meaning 1 cubic foot of stored chlorine expands to a 450 cubic foot vapor cloud.

I recently turned a car wash over to hazardous materials at the fire department. I was their first customer of the day and when I entered the car wash, I was overwhelmed by the smell of chlorine and my eyes burned. I held my breath and had to wait until I got near the end of the automated wash before I could breath.
When I got out I asked the attendant what happened. he denied that they used any chlorine. I called the fire department, and they came out and investigated. Turned out that they put a bunch of 3" tablets in their water system at night for some reason, and it built up chlorine gas let out by the tablets, so when I was first through it pushed that gas out into the wash area.
The owner called and apologized, and offered to have me examined by a doctor, but I was fine so didn't worry about it, but I did jokingly say I would take a year of free washes (the monthly subscription cost for unlimited washes is $40 an month) and to my surprise he agreed.
