Best Laptop for less than $500

Whats the best Windows laptop for under $500. Will be used for simple at home functions like internet browsing, email, picture storage, etc. No gaming or anything like that.

Based on your usage I'd just get a Chromebook for $200-$300 and call it a day. Google photos has unlimited free storage.

This is utter bullshite. While he may be fine with an old fashioned HDD for his use, they are absolutely a major performance bottleneck.

I just bought a Chromebook and I'm happy with it. I just wish I'd done it sooner.
