From books (some are cannon, some are not) The emporer saw non-humans as a lesser species.
Even though his master was a Muun, he personally didn't like non-humans.

He is a Hitler-type in many ways. The people who believe in the Empire see him as good, and believe what he says (like Germans in the 30's and 40's) others see him for the evil that he is.
I know it's a SJW world in some was now, but that has nothing to do with this.

No doubt about it, Star Wars' empire is a pro-human group.
Skin color itself has never been mentioned. If anything blame that on Lucas for only having one black guy in his entire galaxy.
Maybe black people come from a different planet in Star Wars. I mena planets there all seem to have one season and one species.

I don't refute that, but the blanket statement that the Empire is white supremist is false. As another poster mentioned in another thread, Thrawn was running things. I truly wonder how he rose to power if Palpatine was so xenophobic. I'm hoping that the new canon book, Thrawn, coming out this April sheds some light on it.

SPOILERS for Lost Stars (Canon novel)...

In the canon book Lost Stars, Cienna Ree is a black woman from an outer rim planet (co-habitated with white races btw) that joins the Imperial Navy, becomes a Tie pilot and eventually becomes commander of her own Star Destroyer (the one in ruins on Jakku as it turns out). We are shown very little into the racial makeup of the Empire in the OT. We're only shown a handful of scenes like this, so it's easy for the SJWs to say they are white male supremists.

IMO it doesn't matter what Lucas originally thought. How much else that he thought do we give serious creedence to? His vision of the prequels and the things he changed in the OT re-release have been ripped to shreds by fans.
