Golden ( if small enough)

Border collie
Rescue dog if you feel like it. But if you want a pure bred, go for it. I have five rescues, one dog I paid a boat load of money for. All different breeds.
They are all great.

Aussies tend to be one person dogs (and my Aussie is definitely my dogs).
Border Collies would be better for a lot of kids.
