To test or rule out thermostat. Turn power off. Get a small screw driver. Disconnect Red wire which is the hot wire. White wire which is for heat and green wire which is fan. Twist these 3 together. Turn power back on. If heater comes on then your problem is the thermostat. If it doesn't then you got another problem. Turn power back off. Then correctly put wires back. While power is off, get a flashlight and check for burnt wires especially on control board.. this is next place to check.
