Do I think I'm doing a service by not killing snakes? It's a dumb question. By letting it live I am doing nothing by definition. By going around killing snakes because they might bite you only makes you scared of snakes and killing them makes you feel unjustifiably safe.

From the outside looking in, you would think the OB had a giant problem with snake bites.

I have never been able to wrap my head around the needless killing of animals out of fear. Which is why these threads strike me as weird because this is a seemingly knowledgeable group of folks who should know better.
