At Ohio State he lost an all-American caliber starting QB to season ending injury in preseason. Plugs in the backup QB who ended up finishing 5th in Heisman voting, but gets hurt at the end of the regular season. Plugs in the 3rd string QB who leads them to wins in the Big 10 title game, semi-final, and NC game.
I think Herman has shown he can adapt his offense to be successful around different QB's.

Remember that rookie Tom Herman sent his team against veteran HC Jimbo Fisher last year in the Peach Bowl. Houston 38 F$U 24.
