I have a tv I don't watch much that is hooked directly to tv...no box. it only will load 9 channels all dtv channels when I run auto scan. other tv operates thru cable box and is working fine.
what the heck is going on?

I dont know where you are, but that same thing happened to me.

Haven't touched anything in my setup but mysteriously lost fox and NBC. Got fox back, but NBC is still mia

I say I got fox back, but all my channels are now real spotty.

This is ota.

If you are talking Cox cable you have to have a box now. They advertised it for months.

you need a digital tuner box. Either rent one from Cox or get your own and get a card from Cox.

A box?? Even with a new digital TV?
I was afraid it was a box issue. I really don't want to rent another box, that's a ripoff.
Whats weird is I get some digital channels on the TV.

all digital channels now need a tuner box. If you're getting any channels through your tv set then they're left over analogs. I get like 7 analog channels with coax hooked directly to my tv but when running through a box i get them all.

Well, that's what I figured. Thanks all for info. It is odd that the channels I am getting seem to be digital info box box says DTV and the channels are all hyphenated...ie 49-1

I am looking into cutting the cord....or at least trimming it but I haven't found a good answer to how to watch ESPN.

i have an Nvidea shield with Kodi loaded on it and PsVue. Box cost me $200 and PSvue is $35 a month.
Have a directional outdoor antenna and a digital converter box.

Psvue is for ESPN and SEC network.

So.

Antenna with digital box $69.

Get you a Shield or Firetv or whatever and load PsVue on it. Multiple devices can be loaded with PsVue on them such as multiple Fire Tv's or Firesticks or Rokus. Anyway, every tv in the house can watch whatever channels they want independently for $35 a month.
