I think the jury is still out

Curbstomping three tomato cans didn't prove he was good. Losing to the #1 team in the country doesn't prove he sucks.

But I saw some huge red flags last night:

1) Calling timeout with 8 seconds left. That allowed Alabama a shot from close to midfield. I can see the argument if you were going to try to pick up 15-20 yards and run out of bounds. But it mde no sense if you were going to throw into the end zone.

2) Wasting two timeouts early in the third quarter by not getting plays called. Delay of game another time. If it's that unreasonable to expect coaches to get plays to the quarterback in a timely manner, we might as well have kept Miles.

3) Lack of adjustments. We were getting owned up front. Instead of calling plays that bought Etling more time or got the ball out of his hands quickly, we called runs between the tackles and slow developing passes. Looks like the real reason we were a second half team the past three games was our opponents didn't have the talent to hang with us for 60 minutes.

4) Not making a QB change. Could have done it for a series just to mix it up. Looked like 1/9.

Oh I agree with you...at least 1,2 and 4. I was answering the OP regarding the remaining games.

On 3, Indon't think Etling is good enough to get the ball out quickly. No adjustments to OL is a red flag, but maybe that was mostly due to limitations at QB. OM could score points because they have a good QB and play caller.
