I agree! Even though, one poster mentioned that Alabama coveted 6 - #1 recruiting classes and they have superior talent...one has to think that Nick Saban being a household name is the reason for those #1 recruiting classes and you have to be able to develop the talent as well.

What gets me is LSU and Louisiana as a state puts more NFL talent than any other University/State, but yet we seem to lack Championships.

One thing that I can say about Miles/Coach O is that they have integrity. It's a very difficult decision to dismiss players such as: Tyrann Mathieu and Ryan Perriloux, even when it could make or break the season.

Most recently Coach O suspended: Campbell and Ferguson. On the other hand, you have someone like Cam Robinson who did far more, but Nick Saban never suspended him. He rather win at all costs than to do the right thing.

Well here is the bottom line: if anyone not named nick Sabah took the job at BAMA, then LSU probably has at least 2 maybe 3 more titles to its name.

Miles for all his Xs and Os problems didn't have a problem on the recruiting trail. Additionally, although we lost to teams not named Bama, you cannot discount the wear and tear or moral strain of playing Alabama with the talent they have.

We very well could have ran the table last year had Bama in its current form not existed.

It's EXTREMELY bad luck

LSU in 03 and 04 was just starting to become a recruiting juggernaut under Saban, and those classes never were able to mature under his watch. No doubt that would have continued as him and the program built even more cache.

The difference between LSU and Alabama is they expect and demand to be elite, and it seems most LSU fans just hope for it. Inherently, the ability to win is equal given the right person in charge. This will get me downvoted to oblivion, but the mentality difference can be seen with how a contingency of our fanbase is clamoring for a once failed head coach to become the full time coach.
