You are right about that. My Nikon Monarchs haven't failed me yet

Correct. I had Nikon Monrachs on every rifle I own until I looked through a Meopta Meostar 3-12x56 at low light. That scope started it all and I have since purchased a Zeiss HD5, VX6, VX7, and a night force. I still have all my Monarchs but they sit on my lower end rifles and are still the best glass for that amount of money.
