I get what you're saying but you have to understand that if you don't make a move, have a piss poor season AGAIN, and have to wait on a rookie to develope, you lose on what is your ultimate goal: keep AD in Nola and happy.

Say you play the lotto again, draft a top 5 player like Jalen Brown for instance, you happy? No way. He's gotta have time to develope and you already have that with Heild.

You have to give up anything at this point and that should be ok if it's on a player that you don't miss on. I know that's hard to predict but don't make it a "hope-so" trade.

Vucevic is not a "hope-so" player. He's a frickin monster on the glass, can run the floor, can score and plays 30MPG. He'd space it for guys like Moore, Jrue and Hield...it's what u have to have.

If that trade is even close to being available, you MUST take it.

i get that. he's a fine player.

i don't know if vucevic moves the needle enough for davis either though. i'd rather hedge my bet in case Davis does bolt or get hurt. but that's just me. i wouldn't be rending garments in the street if they did do that. it's going for broke to keep Davis. i can respect that move.
