Long story short, I just got dumped and it sucks pretty hard right now. I know this happens to everyone at some point in their life, I'm just looking for advice for how to move on. I'm not the type to mope around, and I want to get back out there but for right now it's still raw. I'm sure I'll be downvoted til the next century and trolled but any serious answers are appreciated.

There is nothing you can do right now to make the pain go away. Allow your friends and family to rally around and take pleasure in the little things. Losing someone that was such a big part of your life leaves a big hole and it sure does feel shitty. Initially, youre caught in how horrible it feels to reminded of your routine that is now absent. Waking up with someone every morning, planning your days together, planning your weekends together, small talk, big talk. You are reminded every second that you no longer have that. The saying "time heals all things" is true. It just takes the time to establish a new routine. What you need to do is put some space between you and things you associate with her. Use this time as a learning experience to better yourself and reflect on things you could have done different. One of those things could be "maybe I could be less of a condescending a-hole", or it could be "maybe I shouldn't have dated such a count." Who knows? After a few months you will be ready again. In the meantime you need to focus on hookers and blow.

It's not all bad. You have your freedom back. In time, you'll figure out what to do with it. Focus on your hobbies. Don't disregard your pain right now and pretend like it's not there, but also don't dwell in it. You have to live in this shite right now so that you can learn from it and move on. Otherwise, you wont be ready when the next awesome woman comes along.
