Not in the way you would think, Ford is money in the bank for a title, Hopkins is going to give you a strong performance; but can not and never could be a draw on name alone.

So the question is box office gold vs a strong acting job?

If you were a studio head what do you want, a star that is box office gold or just another actor you can get off the stage anytime?

Ford is by far the better product, Anthony is just another in a long line of stage actors.

I have watched Anthony since the 60's and The Lion in Winter, he is a good actor nothing special. He is not Paul Muni, Paul was a great stage and movie actor.

Does an actor also include talent of a nature of traits, like charm?

Earl Flynn was not a good actor of the stagecraft school, but was box office gold and Earl is in the top 50 male star of the big screen all time, as is John Wayne.

Would you take a Hopkins over Earl, John or Ford for a role in a movie your producing and need box office?

Personality and body language play a major part in being an actor as does ability to deliver a line. Will Rogers was a master of line delivery and he could entertain an audience with just roping abilities and timing his stories to a delivered punch line.

Is Will a top actor, no; but he is one of the all time greats in commentator, with his comic style yet to be seen again.

If you take away the British accent, Hopkins is a OK character actor.
