It's not every week. I can remember only 2 or 3 real meltdowns in his career that hurt his team. Of course, the run in with Josh Norman last season, an unsportsmanlike or two for too much jawing, and trying to f up Kenny Vaccaro earlier this season with a dirty hit. That's all I can come up with. Dumb, but not a pattern.

I don't give a crap if he pouts a little on the sideline-- he generally does it while alone, and vets would just roll their eyes at that as long as he gets his head back in the game afterward. I don't recall him bitching to coaches or Manning on the sideline.

Media gives him a lot of attention because he's one of the hottest players in the league right now. And he's already pals with Jerry Rice-- they've spoken multiple times and hung out together at the Pro Bowl.

well, they put a stat on the screen Sunday that he'd be fined 8 separate times for a total of 180k. granted, i'm sure a few of those have been for him wearing the wrong shoes or violating some other stupid rule like that

Many who have posted on this topic turned it into an assumption that us "old school" folks are whiners about ObJ's TD celebrations, totally missing the point. I enjoy the celebratory reaction and creativity when scoring anTD for one. That's not it. It's all the BS like taking the helmet off brawling with DBs, and other selfish behavior that has the strong possibility of hurting the team that he has to get right. As an example, that TD to win the game for the Giants was incredible. But then immediaely sheds the helmet with his "Look at me, me,me" BS knowing full well it will draw a 15 yd penalty on the most critical kickoff in the game. 15 extra yards is HUGE in that situation. He is very fortunate as they darn near scored that last TD to beat the Giants because he acted like a knucklehead.
