re: Study: Only 18% of Americans know how to drive stick shift

I get scared in an auto since it wants to go unless you're riding the brakes. I let off the brake in my manuals when I'm stopped since we live where it's flat...ill just flash the brake lights if someone's coming up behind me. I think that's the beauty of manuals in traffic, you don't have to ride the damn brakes.
