If it's just the grout that's cracked and or missing in spots, then it likely just needs to be regrouted. If the tiles are cracked then that could be a bigger issue, but not necessarily.

Without seeing it, it's hard to say how much you'll have to tear out to fix any rotten wood behind the shower. But I'm sure OP can fix that to save money.

Buy the material pay a sub (insured) $2sqft to do the job
