Ok, a few things here.....

First off, I lived in central Florida for 11 years and went through 3 cat 3 hurricanes in 6 weeks, so I resent your implications that "no one" is thinking about those residents in Florida. I was one of them and I still have close friends that are in the middle of all of that as I'm typing this.

Second, to answer your question about the "would we have been focused on a game during Katrina" thing, we actually moved a game after Katrina to Tempe when we played Arizona State and in the same season, pushed a game with Tennessee to Monday night after Rita beat up on my home town.

People are pissed because UF could've canceled or postponed the game two days ago but they drug their feet and forced the SEC office's hand when the storm was literally parked offshore. Furthermore, LSU made every attempt to get this game to happen, provided accommodations for UF, a charter flight for UF, other sites, all were shot down by UF, Foley to be specific.

I, for one, take offense to your insinuation that no one is thinking of the residents of the state of Florida and that no other options were presented.

Get bent.

I dont care that you take offense...for one. Two, if you were so concerned about your friends and family stuck down there you would have been upset the plane and field that we offered up wasnt offered for the purpose of evacuating many. Again, your thought process isnt on LSU using resources to help people its on resources used for a game...and to that I take offense!
