Here is what I was told, take it for what it's worth. The power brokers at UT really, really want Herman and are behind the scenes pushing the envelope very hard right now to make things happen if Strong continues to fail this year. Oklahoma this Saturday is literally the game to watch. If UT wins than what my friend tells me is Strong will have bought a little bit of time but if there are anymore hiccups after the OU game he still thinks Strong gets fired and he . He went on to say that the AD's remarks were done very calculating letting Herman and his agent understand to be patient this will play itself out.

What the Power brokers at UT are really concerned with is success for Herman at LSU if he were to take the job and that is why they are pushing really hard to have Strong fired mid season "even though the AD said they don't do that" if they lose on Saturday. What they are not afraid of is anyone out-bidding them for Herman if they are in the race!
